Prep Chorus
For Singers in 1st & 2nd Grade
Singers begin their choral singing journey in Prep Chorus, which introduces first and second graders to singing together in a choir format. Prep Chorus meets once a week for one hour; rehearsals include games, movement, and singing with an emphasis on creating sound as a group. Concepts taught include the solfège scale, beat, rhythm, pitch matching, and singing in unison and in two parts.
Repertoire will include unison folk songs, partner songs, and rounds. Each session culminates in a performance for family. No audition or voice placement is required.
