Singers begin their choral singing journey in Prep Chorus, which introduces first, second, and third graders to singing together in a choir format. Prep Chorus meets once a week for 45 minutes; rehearsals include games, movement, and singing with an emphasis on creating sound as a group. Concepts taught include the solfège scale, beat, rhythm, pitch matching, and singing in unison and in two parts.

Repertoire will include unison folk songs, partner songs, and rounds. Each session culminates in a performance for family. No audition or voice placement is required.

Fall 2026 Session

• Tuesdays, 4:30 - 5:15 p.m.

• September 15 - December 8, 2026 (no class 11/24/26)

• December 9, 2026 - Combined KidSingers and Prep Chorus recital

Spring 2027 Session

• Tuesdays, 4:30 - 5:15 p.m.

• January - April 2027 (exact dates TBD)

• April 2027 (exact date TBD) - Combined KidSingers and Prep Chorus recital

Pricing:

• $325 per session plus a $30 annual registration fee

• $600 for the full year
