Noah Christiansen is a music educator passionate about creating joyful, supportive, and musically rich experiences for young singers. He currently teaches K-5 general music and choir at two elementary schools in Oak Lawn, Illinois, where he works with students across a variety of musical and cultural backgrounds. In his teaching, Noah strives to incorporate culturally responsive materials that reflect a range of global cultures and identities. His pedagogy engages students through multiple modes of learning, including singing, composition and performance, improvisation, movement to music, and exploring interdisciplinary connections to music. 

Music has been an important part of Noah’s life since early childhood. Growing up, he participated as a peer model for children with special needs in his parents’ music therapy clinic. Through sharing these experiences in music, he saw its ability to foster connection and support social, emotional, and musical growth. This formative experience continues to shape his approach to teaching and his passion for music education. 

Noah graduated from Elmhurst University in 2025 with a Bachelor of Music with honors in Music Education, with an emphasis on voice and choral conducting. Noah’s musical training spans piano, jazz voice, choral music, and percussion, with each area shaping his approach to instruction. He has completed one level of Kodály training from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas and is currently pursuing graduate and professional development opportunities in music education. He is a member of Chicago Area Kodály Educators (CAKE) and the Greater Chicago American Orff Schulwerk Association (GCAOSA).

Outside of teaching, Noah enjoys performing, painting, baking, and musical improvisation.
