A versatile performer and educator, Joshua Velez maintains an active schedule, comfortably commanding genres from classical music to gospel, jazz, musical theater, sacred music, musical improv, and beyond. He currently works in the Chicago area as a choral conductor, music director, vocal coach, private teacher, and collaborative keyboardist at colleges, churches, improv comedy clubs, memory care communities, and a variety of other venues.  Joshua earned a Bachelor of Music from the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music, where he is currently guest faculty in the Opera Music Theater program.
